Siri: OK Protocol (2025)
In Siri: OK Protocol, Plaza examines the surrender of will in an age ruled by programmed response.
The face —half-constructed, half-erased— seems caught between obedience and awareness, its features dissolving into grids and algorithmic lines.
The title’s phrase, “OK Protocol,” encapsulates the mechanical affirmation that defines our interaction with digital assistants: a constant “yes” that replaces reflection.
Through the friction between impersonal geometry and human gesture, the work questions the price of convenience —how much autonomy we exchange for the illusion of control.
What emerges is not a portrait of a machine, but of ourselves within it: a mirror of consent inside a system built to anticipate every move.
