Bondi Beach Still Life (2024)
Bondi Beach Still Life captures the atmosphere of Bondi as a space of balance between humanity and nature.
The work invites a view from within the sea —the perspective of a swimmer or surfer— toward the shore, merging architecture, bodies, and landscape into a unified rhythm.
Geometric structures echo the physical boundaries of the place: on the left, the Icebergs anchor the southern edge; on the right, the stacked rocks close the horizon.
Between them, turquoise planes and barely suggested silhouettes represent sun-lit bodies blending with the motion of the water.
More than a landscape, the piece becomes a meditation on coexistence and harmony with the environment.
Through a cubist and symbolic language, Bondi Beach Still Life transforms the everyday experience of the Australian coast into a metaphor of connection and belonging.
